Balls are Rolling...

So a few more checks have been written on the overall wedding list. I bought my shoes, my shoes to change into, the invitations and the place card holders.

My shoes are nice but plain enough. The emphasize the pickups in the dress. The shoes I will be changing into at the reception are real ballet shoes. It will be a reference to the fact that I love to dance but quit ballet when I was 7 because I talked to much and got into trouble every class. I also really didn't do the choreographed routines, I kind of did my own thing during recitals. It made for interesting entertainment.

Our invitations are red pockets with a hole in them where the shimmer white paper peeks through with a "K" for my new last name. The copy is in red too. Then the response cards have the "K" on them and the envelopes are red with white return addresses on them. Pretty cool! I hope they look good though because we didn't have the sample right in front of us.

The place card holders are little silver elephants. They are a tribute to my grandmother who loved elephants. They are supposed to be good luck too. My mom's side of the family will understand the significance, but everyone else will just have to catch on later.

So those are some things that have been taken care of...onto the next!
